Our Programmes in Detail
Three distinct programmes, each developed around a specific set of financial concepts relevant to individuals and business owners in Singapore.
← Back to HomeHow Fincrest Programmes Are Structured
Each Fincrest programme is organised around a set of core concepts — but the actual content of each session is shaped in part by what participants bring to it. The aim is to ensure that learning connects to real circumstances, not just abstract scenarios. Sessions are structured, but not rigid.
All programmes include supporting materials that participants keep after the programme ends. These are designed as working tools — frameworks, checklists, and analytical aids — rather than summary notes. The intention is for the learning to continue to be useful long after the final session.
Foundations of Financial Decision-Making
A reflective programme designed for individuals who want to improve the quality of their financial choices by understanding the frameworks behind good decision-making. Participants explore concepts such as opportunity cost, time value of money, risk-reward assessment, and sunk cost reasoning through practical examples drawn from everyday life.
The approach is conversational and inquiry-based rather than lecture-driven. Suitable for anyone who makes financial decisions — and wants to do so with greater intentionality.
- Four conversational sessions over four weeks
- Decision-making journal (self-reflection tool)
- Personal reflection exercise completed between sessions
- Pre-session reading materials
- Flexible one-to-one or small group format
Framing — Understanding the nature of financial decisions and why reasoning errors are common
Concepts — Exploring opportunity cost, time value of money, and sunk cost through examples
Application — Applying frameworks to participant-specific situations and decisions
Reflection — Review of personal decision journal entries and consolidation of key habits
REIT Investing in Singapore
A focused educational programme covering Real Estate Investment Trusts as an accessible entry point to property-linked investments. Participants learn the mechanics of REITs — how they generate income, distribution policies, gearing ratios, and property sector exposure.
The programme covers Singapore-listed REITs across commercial, industrial, retail, and healthcare sub-sectors. Participants practise evaluating REITs using standardised metrics and develop a personal screening criteria list through live data exercises.
- Three detailed sessions delivered across five weeks
- REIT analysis toolkit (reusable evaluation framework)
- Curated watchlist framework built during sessions
- Live data exercises using current SGX-listed REIT data
- Personal screening criteria list
Mechanics — How REITs are structured, how they generate income, and what gearing means in practice
Sectors — Overview of commercial, industrial, retail, and healthcare REITs on the SGX
Evaluation — Live exercise applying standardised metrics to current REIT data; building a personal screening list
Financial Mentorship for Business Owners
A personalised advisory service for small business owners and entrepreneurs in Singapore who want to strengthen the financial foundations of their enterprises while maintaining personal financial health. Topics include separating personal and business finances, cash flow forecasting, reinvestment versus distribution decisions, business insurance adequacy, and succession or exit considerations.
The mentorship approach is collaborative and adapts to the specific business context of each participant. It begins with a diagnostic assessment and concludes with a personalised integration plan.
- Business financial health diagnostic (before sessions begin)
- Five advisory sessions over ten weeks
- Personal-business financial integration plan
- Content adapted to your specific business context
- Always conducted as a one-to-one engagement
Diagnostic — Assessment of current business and personal financial structures
Foundations — Establishing clarity on separation of finances, cash flow visibility, and insurance coverage
Strategic — Reinvestment versus distribution decisions; planning for longer-term business continuity
Exit Considerations — An overview of succession and exit planning from a financial perspective
