About Fincrest
A financial education practice built around the idea that better financial understanding — developed over time, through reflection — leads to more considered choices.
← Back to HomeWhere Fincrest Began
Fincrest was established in Singapore to address a gap that kept appearing in conversations: many people make significant financial decisions without a clear framework for evaluating them. Not because they lack intelligence or discipline, but because they were never taught to think through financial trade-offs in a structured way.
The practice started with a single programme — a reflective exploration of financial decision-making — and expanded gradually as participants asked for more focused content in areas like property-linked investments and business finance management.
Today, Fincrest offers three distinct educational programmes from its office on Collyer Quay, working with individuals, working professionals, and small business owners across Singapore.
The approach has remained consistent throughout: conversational, inquiry-based, and grounded in real examples relevant to Singapore's financial context. We don't promise outcomes — we help you build the understanding to make more informed choices yourself.
Intellectual Honesty
We present financial concepts as they are — with their nuances, trade-offs, and contextual dependencies. We don't simplify to the point of distortion.
Dialogue Over Lecture
Every session is a conversation. Participants are encouraged to bring their real questions and situations — those form the basis of meaningful learning.
Relevance to Singapore
All content is developed with Singapore's financial landscape in mind — CPF, Singapore-listed assets, local tax considerations, and the specific context of building financial security here.
Patience Over Speed
Understanding that lasts is built gradually. Our programmes are structured to allow time for reflection and to give concepts room to settle.

How We Work
The principles that guide how Fincrest conducts its programmes and relationships with participants.
Data Privacy
Participant information is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. We do not share personal details with third parties without consent.
Educational Scope
Fincrest programmes are educational. We do not provide licensed financial advice under the Securities and Futures Act. Participants are encouraged to consult licensed professionals for specific decisions.
Ongoing Content Review
Programme materials are reviewed regularly to reflect changes in Singapore's financial regulations, market conditions, and best practices in adult education.
Participant Wellbeing
We take care to ensure that discussions around personal finance do not create undue anxiety. Sessions are conducted with empathy and at a pace that suits the participant.
Qualifications
Our educators hold relevant academic and professional qualifications in finance and education. Continuing professional development is a standing commitment across the team.
Clear Expectations
Before any programme begins, we take time to understand what a participant is hoping to get from it — and to be clear about what the programme can and cannot offer.
Financial Education in Singapore
Singapore's financial ecosystem is distinctive. Between CPF contribution structures, Singapore-listed investment instruments, the Monetary Authority of Singapore's regulatory framework, and a high density of financial service providers, residents face a wide range of choices that require contextual knowledge to evaluate well. General financial literacy resources often lack this specificity.
Fincrest builds its programmes from the Singapore context outward. The REIT programme, for example, focuses specifically on SGX-listed REITs — covering their income distribution mechanics, gearing considerations, and the distinctive characteristics of Singapore's commercial, industrial, retail, and healthcare property sectors. The Foundations programme uses examples drawn from decisions that Singapore residents regularly face: CPF allocation choices, insurance adequacy assessments, and the cost structures of local financial products.
For business owners, Singapore's regulatory environment for SMEs introduces specific financial considerations — from GST registration thresholds to CPF employer obligations — that are woven into the Mentorship programme's content where relevant.
Our physical presence on Collyer Quay places us at the heart of Singapore's central business district, which many participants find convenient for in-person sessions. We also work with participants across the island and internationally through video sessions when needed.
